About Bigfork, MT - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Bigfork, Montana is a growing community located in Flathead County. As of 2010, only about 1,400 people lived here, but by the 2010 census the population had grown to over 4,200. Bigfork is located at the north end of Flathead Lake, and Kalispell is about 18 miles to the northwest. Highway 35 traverses through the center of the community, making travel to other communities extremely convenient. Tourism is popular in the region, as Bigfork is situated on Flathead Lake and offers a wealth of recreational opportunities.

There are many wonderful things to see and do in Bigfork. The Bigfork Summer Playhouse is a popular place in the region to see stage performances, and the Flathead Ford Museum provides a must-see destination for auto enthusiasts. Additionally, Whistling Andy refers to itself as a grain to glass distillery and offers many delicious liquors.

Of course, there are also a plethora of attractions related to the outdoors. The Swam River Nature Trail is the perfect destination for a family hike, and Wayfarers State Park offers fishing, camping, and trails.  Swan Lake is popular for boating, while Echo Lake is another great fishing destination.

The varied weather conditions of Bigfork make the community popular for outdoor recreation during every season. Skiing is popular here during the cold and snowy winter season, as the region receives about 55 inches of snow each year. Temperatures can be frigid at times, with overnight lows often falling below freezing. A high AFUE furnace or energy-efficient heat pump are great investments to make it through the season safely.

Outdoor sports are also popular during the summer, as temperatures will start to heat up in late-April. Average daily highs reach into the 80s during the peak of the summer, so many residents rely on central air conditioning units to stay comfortable at home. The right system will also reduce indoor allergens and can improve air quality.
